Created by a Mom and Preschool Teacher to make Sensory Play Simple for YOU!

Hi! I’m Hanna. I created binSpire after scrolling by hundreds of amazing Pinterest-worthy sensory bins online, but feeling overwhelmed by the time, cost, and effort it would take to pull all that off while working full time and doing allllll the other mom things!

That’s why I created binSpire! As a preschool teacher with a degree in early childhood education, I know how important sensory and open-ended play opportunities are for young children. I want to offer an easy way for young children in our area to have access to those fun and educational activities by offering parents and caregivers a simple solution.

Renting bins one at a time helps keep children engaged by providing novel experiences every few weeks. This rental system also saves on the storage space you’d need at home if you created these activities yourselves AND helps to reduce plastic consumption and waste by reusing materials again and again within our community.

Health and safety are of huge importance to me, which is why I personally clean the materials in each bin before passing them along to the next family. When necessary, I will replace fillers and materials that are beyond their play lifetime.

In addition to independent play, children also need social play to help develop their skills! Looking for a fun group playdate or birthday party idea to entertain toddlers, preschoolers, or school-aged kids? Contact Hanna to find out more about binSpire parties!

Some Precautions:

  • binSpire sensory bins are geared toward 3-7 year olds. Please use your adult discretion as to whether or not these materials are suitable for your unique child(ren).

  • Always keep a close eye on your child during any play experience with small pieces.

  • If your child often seeks oral sensory stimulation, binSpire may not be for you. You know your child best.

  • Keep bins away from pets and infants at all times.

  • Use the included photo sheet to keep track of all the pieces to make sure they all get returned. (Sometimes elements of binSpire bins get sucked into other play throughout the house. Use adult discretion on how to handle this in your home.)

  • Check the bin for personal belongings before returning. (Sometimes personal belongings get sucked into binSpire play. Again, please use adult discretion as to how to handle this in your home.)

  • If using a bin stand, please check to make sure it is sturdy before each play experience to avoid accidents. (binSpire bins work great on the floor, too, if you don’t have a stand or the stand isn’t working well for your child.)

  • Wash and dry hands before and after each binSpire play experience to help mitigate the spread of germs.

  • Store bins with the lid on and in a cool dry place when not in use.
